B) Newcastle Arms it is, at the junction of Nuthall Road & Basford Road Crest depicts the arms of the Duke's of Newcastle, who owned much of surrounding land and several local collieries, including Cinderhill/Babbington. I use to pass by there many many years ago on my way to work when I use to be in the radford complex [player's] they were the day's when I had no option but to use the bus.....I still pass bye there but I would say it would only be twice a year now.....whin walking distance from there you have the Alcazar brewery.......................
