I'd never have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes.

I see the fish are anchovies..(we can get them on pizza).

They've changed the shape of the bottle as well.

I'm sure the bottles of Worcestershire Sauce we buy are exactly like the ones I used to buy back home.

The taste is exactly the same...good photo BF..thanks.

This is Morrisons own brand hence the shape, Lee and Perrins is still to be found in the same old bottles but costs twice as much (All I use it for is to make a Barbeque sauce so all you need is the smokey essense this way I can save a few bob, if I need the strength I use Maggies dressing but that is expensive)

;)

Ah hence the M on the bottle eh..but I don't know that brand.

I've been to look in the fridge but must have used the last of it :-(

I'm sure it was Lea and Perrins I had.

I'm looking for a good barbeque sauce recipe BF.

Any good ones to share?

I sometimes have a hard time getting white pepper and brown vinegar.

Here they always use black pepper and white vinegar.

Strange eh...I did manage to find some Crosse and Blackwell fish and chip vinegar but it was expensive.

What's Maggies dressing?

BF..what do you serve your barbeque sauce with?

I would serve mine with spare ribs ..here they are expensive but good with lots of meat on the bone..

yet back in the UK I used to buy them for my dog.

The last time I did it with steak but I have put it on Baked Potatoes With baked beans all sorts of stuff really

I know what you mean about the price of ribs ,in our local Chinese restaurant they charge £4.20 for four little things that are supposed to be in honey sauce but it tastes remarkably like treacle (golden syrup) to me

!faint!

OK..I'll try it with steak I think.

I remember the last time I was home we went into the Food Hall as it was called back then...the one in the Victoria Centre and I was surprised to see what they did put on their baked potatoes.

I loved them though and none I have made here ever tastes as good.

So the price of spare ribs has gone up...I can't believe you pay 4 pounds

twenty pence for 4 littleuns like that.

Times have definately changed!!

(I haven't got a pound key on my keyboard)

!hungry!

Sorry BF..I'm having a good laugh at your recipe...but I will try it..

I remember there used to be a baked potato stand down the side of Fords opposite Boots on Parliament Street.

I've got a good lemon curd recipe made in the microwave..anybody want that.

Kath's made it and said it was good.

Reminds me of an old SWMBO family story (goes back to before I was involved in the 'Family') goes along the lines of SWMBO inviting all her family members round to her( and her then husbands) place ,and finishing off the meal with the 'piece de resistance' a Lemon Merangue Pie, only she forgot to put the lemon curd in. It is always mentioned whenever we have family round (Hense the reason I do all the cooking on family occations, not because I can ,or because I want to, but I like to save SWMBO the embarassment of the old joke surfacing once again) It got boring after the first 10 hearings LOL

LOL I bet SWMBO used to cringe every time the tale was told.

Funny how they always remember things like that isn't it.

Long memories some folks!

I remember my Dad phoning me here once and telling me he had made himself a Shepherd's Pie...but forgot to put the mince beef in!
