abt 1950's Nottingham

Hi to all, I have been trying to find any info on my granmother who lived in Notts abt 1950, She tried every angle to cover something from the past although i have little info i was hoping there might be someone who can confirm any of these. She lived with her grandfather on shepton crescent while her father lived about 10 houses away at number 1. In the begining of 1951 she had a son, She kept the identity of his father a secret, Although the colouring of his skin would point to maybe greek cypriot, I am trying to find out about a restaurant called the robin hood where he could of worked as a head chef/waiter. I have no idea if she was married to him or anything as her name had been changed i believe several times and i am not sure on her birth name.
