Looking forward tonight to an interesting looking event at the excellent Broadway Cinema, 'An Audience with Jon McGregor'.

Jon found his way to Nottingham via growing up in Norfolk and is building himself a formidable reputation after his first two books If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things and So Many way to Begin. Both were listed for a Booker Prize. His latest work Even the Dogs has just been released.

Lowdham Book Festival organiser Ross Bradshaw chats with Jon at Broadway tonight and discusses his new book which was extensively researched around Nottingham.

I can thoroughly recommend this author; his writing style is like no other author I've come across and is very poetic but always captivating, gritty and real. Remarkable indeed. Nottingham can be proud of being home to such a fine writer.
