susyshoes 69 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Share Posted January 3, 2011 i've always driven past that white building on the forest recreation ground on Mansfield Rd but never really known anything about it. apparently its called forest lodge. does anyone have any photos of the inside of it? i believe it had a cell in the basement and was used by the police? when was it boarded up? ravintrainman 10 Posted January 4, 2011 Report Share Posted January 4, 2011 Around 50 years ago I was at school with lad who lived in Forest lodge, his dad was the head groundsman for the Forest or something like that. Can't remember much about it except that it always seemd a bit on the dark side, fairly small windows and dark wood inside I think. I have a feeling the kitchen might have been in the basement but not entirely sure, I wasn't that old to take much notice of such things.
