Posting about buses - who'd have thought it! There used to be a man on the bus home to Bilborough, so 56 or 60, from tahn on a Friday/ Saturday night in the mid-late 70's who would hammer out a tune on the back of the seat in front of him - so brilliant

There's a group on Facebook called West Bridgford Grammar School 1968. Also on their page, is a photo from 1969. Too small to see, but the person who posted it offers to send a copy to anyone who wants it. However, his post WAS in 2010! He still seems to be on FB, though

Thought it might cost a lot, sadly. Do you know that they may have been in Derby? Suppose it depends how much you want to know - if the £70 is too much, perhaps going to look at it would be the best option. At least you should be able to rule it in or out, and with the little info you have on him, will be difficult to find out about him. How did you find out about the interview?

If you know any other tiny detail about him - road he lived in/school he went to/parents name/brothers and sisters/whether Pauline lived in Bilborough too, and if so, any info about her. I lived in Bilborough from when I was born, until about 1982/3. Do you mean he was aged in his 50's or 60's at the time, or would he be that age now?. If you mean he'd be that age now, then he's a similar age to me (well, the early 60's bit!). I don't remember an Arthur around my age but a lot of people lived in Bilborough - depends which part he lived in

1939 Register

I thought I knew all about my Mum, but in the 1939 Register, when I expected her to be living with her Mum on Western Boulevard, as I thought she always did, showed me that she was at my Dad's sister's house, not very far away,in Kennington Road, 2 years before she married my Dad. Very surprised, but too late to ask
