  1. Can anyone remember Thomas Pearson Cabinet Makers at the bottom of Manvers Street? Was originally a Victorian School. I worked as a Cabinet Maker there from 1984 until 1990 loved every second of it, was a great job, did not get paid allot however I learned my craft and am thankful to John Pearson who gave me the job as a trainee when I was just 16. Loved working in Netherfield. Went back there two weeks ago as I was passing through, wow it has changed so much.
  2. Does anyone remember Cropwell Terrece Hyson Green off Hawksley Road, I lived at 1 Cropwell Terrece from 1968 until 1971 I was one when we moved there and three years of age when we moved to Vernon Avenue Boasford, I would love to see photographs of Cropwell Terrece from that time, it was demolished in the early 1980s There was a Fine Fare that backed onto Cropwell Terrece. We did not even have a bathroom it was a two up two down with an outside toilet, Mum used to bath my brother and I in the kitchen sink.
  3. Just came accross this website on my search for information and photographs about Rise Park, I just joined the site today so is this topic still live as I lived in Rise Park on Dunvegen Drive from 1975 until 1997 I have lots of memories to share so if this topic is still live I would like to contribute.
