Unfortunately the house I've got is flat roofed and poorly insulated with not many options to upgrade.I've even looked at suspended ceiling systems with the possibility of increasing the insulation.I will be looking at any improvements in electric heating alongside of other systems.I agree planners are a pain...but when it comes to re-selling, the conveyancers insist on seeing planning approval or exemptions for all alterations. I'm open to all suggestions off here and will consider any helpful hints from others... Now about this fencing.......

What would it cost Frank?...roughly...thats the thing I'm interested in.I live alone so huge water tank would not be necessary unless needed to heat radiators. Just read further...5kw 6/8 thousand for a domestic fitting....ouch!

Moving soon to an all electric house...Anyone on here know anything about LPG?...suppliers,boilers,fitters.Anybody recommend a reliable company or individual to fit the house out with a gas supply. Ditto garden fencing... Ditto Conservatories... If you've had a job well done I'd like to hear about it.

I wasn't on his list, but the guy who fixed my neighbours phoned his mate up and saved him a journey.Got to claim on house insurance, TV and box knackered.

I should add that the only bits I saw were included in the news...no way did I sit and watch this stuff.The same with Di's Do years ago ...you couldn't really avoid it.The only funeral I would sit and watch would be one of my own family members. An electrician mate has been round...been on to Virgin in Mubai or somewhere for over an hour.Phone still not on as I type.Mate says a power surge has come through cable ...through top box and via scart cable to TV.Top box and TV both knackered.He says circuit boards buggered.Virgin of course say it's not them but the Leccy board...my mate told 'em..."How come it's just your phone,top box and telly then?"If it was a surge through power lines it would've affected more than just the TV etc. Three neighbours affected too...their TVs are also knackered...no lights on even when plugged in elsewher

TV in lounge dead...OK so cables off...but can't get standby light on set.Checked fuses and run TV cable to other power point...nothing.Has it blown the set??? Kitchen set working ok but analogue channels only...lounge set won't come on ...period??
