  1. So far...So Good. Stay at home the weather man said, so we have. We are sorting out cupboards and drawers. 20 assorted pairs of shoes(That is all I will admit too?, (2 full scanties drawers(Thanks to our Chulla for that one), Handbags Galore, Cycling gear and millions of socks, Hair tongs, bits and bobs, plastic bags and last but not least.......The dreaded makeup drawer, some of it is that old that the price ticket stuck on it is in Pounds Shillings and pence.

Well guess what, It has all gone back in the cupboards for another day.:P

Sitting here on my sofa, now looking up my garden through the 'patio doors' awaiting the storm to show, just watching my 16/7foot Red Robin borders, all still intact, blowing too and fro reminds me of the gentle swaying wattle. Not!:)

Got my vaccine passport all sorted for my line dancing extravaganza  at Blackpool this weekend...

Have fun colly. Hubbs and I belonged to a Ballroom and Latin Dance School for a few years. Sadly due to knee problems we had to call it a day. During our time dancing with them we attended 3/4 tea dances in the Beautiful Blackpool Ballroom with the springy floor. It really takes you back in time . Such an ornate room and we loved every minute dancing to the live Organ. Enjoy your Line Dancing, keep the memories forever.

  3. Thankyou DJ. I have a brilliant collection of Drifters now ,as you know. Many thanks to you for the very early additions and  extras you gave me. Very kind.

I would just like to thank you all for your posts. I will be back as soon as i feel better.x

  4. David W. I am sorry to read of your sons pain, his symptoms sound similar so I feel very sorry for him as I have never known pain like it. It does sound like the same sort of investigations as I had. They say that Alcohol and Fats are the worse things for Pancreatitis, I am Teetotal so the diet must be my down fall.  I don't really eat as many cakes as I let on. Honestly!

I hope he gets on ok and he gets sorted quickly.

  5. Hello Nottstalgians. I am making my first post since Boxing Day. To explain why I just dropped out without saying why! Three hours after my last post I was taken by ambulance to hospital with the most awful pancreatic attack. I was in there for ten days and came home on the 5th Jan. I have to have an op, gall bladder removal as soon as an anaesthetic is sorted for me. I am still not well but going in the right direction. I will return to the fold but still weak just now.

I wish you all a belated Happy New Year and I will be back.........just not yet.xx:biggrin:

Oh yes PP, not quite nnnnn nineteen. Anyway, moving onslywink

    We still haven't opened it.

Seeing as I went T Total about 17yrs ago, it doesn't tempt me, but Hubbs might give it a go.

Nice bottle though, it will look very fetching with a long stemmed flower stuck in it.

Thanks for all the replies Folks.

  7. Around twenty five years ago, a relation bought us a bottle of Champagne to celebrate our wedding anniversary (which is being celebrated at 55yrs today). We never got around to drinking it. It has been at the back of the wardrobe all of these years. I have looked it up on the internet and it is not a megga expensive bottle, (It's the thought that counts). It is, Lanson, Black Label Brut. What does the team think. Will it still be any good?

  8. I agree PP about exercise, we still get out every  morning when possible for our 'Tow path cycling', though in the winter we only cycle a circular route, taking just over one hour from leaving home. The cold weather can have a bad effect on my AF. It has been a very unhealthy twelve months for me, but we do love our bike rides when we get out. Hubbs always reckons if it wasn't for the cycling we might not be here now!

  9. Take care PP. You need to exercise a little slower and gentler  now you are of a certain age. All the best Miduck  it will soon be spring and you can get out on the reservoir in your little boat with your fishing rod , and dream of catching that big one. x

I had also clearly pulled muscles in the right side of my neck.

Probably best put down as a lucky escape.

I hope them there muscles don't give you too much trouble in the following days DJ. Sometimes the next day can prove very painful! Hope you recover quickly. Good news for your Op date.x
