Did any of you ever go to Erricsons(renamed Plesseys) club at Beeston?
Saturday nights used to be good in the 60s.Good grog and plenty of dancing.
Does it still exist?

You need to get a grader in your driveway Caz.
Also youve missed the map of Tasmania.

I've got one as well.( a rattle)
It's still got some red paint on it in spite of it being wrapped around several skulls.
I think it's red paint anyway.

Didnt you just love the TRIPE & COWHEEL with ONIONS ???
and I do so miss my Pork Pies !!
Tripe and cowheels done in milk was one of my grandads favourite meals when I was a nipper.
It always reminded me of Lapsel.

Catheters are fine until you have them dragged out by a nurse who's not having a good day.
The only thing I could equate it to is having barbed wire dragged through your willy!!!!

Indian food is not as popular here in Aus as it is back home.
Chinese would be the favourite Asian food sold here. Most of it(Chinese) is damn good too.The real taste of the food comes through. Not like curry Indian style which I never was a fan of anyway.
When it comes down to favourites though, give me a good roast dinner. It doesn't matter what meat.
The next would have to be seafood of almost anything that comes out of the sea.We are lucky enough to have an abundance of this down under.
My back teeth are under water now just thinking about it.
I think I might go and get my dinner . B)

That's the one but the facade wasn't like that.
It was just a courtyard entrance with a big swing gate on it when I was there.
Lousy ale though.Shippos.

I can't remember the name of the pub either but me and my mate had a few pints in there.
Then we would jump on my motorbike and zoom off to Beeston where I dropped him home and thence damn fast ride back home to WB.
I never did fall off though. B)

It wasn't on Arky it was a courtyard pub on the right hand side just before you get to Market Square.West gate I think.

Just the end of the building.
I used to stop off on the way home from working in the pub.

Opposite that block was a road that ran off at an angle.
On the corner was a showroom type place, which was
quiet pointed, due to the shape of the Junction?
In the early 70's it was a car accessory shop.[/b]
If my memory serves me right that angled building on the corner was a chippy in the mid 60s.

Does anyone know or know the whereabouts of an old friend of mine. His name is Ron Carter. He and his wife Pam lived in West Cres. Rylands Beeston in the 60s.
I lost contact with him when I moved down under and have tried to find him on my many visits back there but to no avail.
If you do know him it would be great if you could put him in touch with me.He'll know who it is if Australia is mentioned.
Thanks in anticipation.

Trafalgar Road it was Rob.I think it was 1965 when they changed the name to Plesseys.
I worked in the factory for about 2 years.I can't remember the number of the shop but we had a foreman called Jack Ryder I think. When I handed in my notice he offered to get me another tuppence an hour. What a joke.
