Brough motorcycle club meeting this Sunday 17th Aug. Holme Pierpont in Nottingham, 200 Brough Bikes expected to attend.

On the bridge was an advert for Oscrofts of castle boulevard. Vauxhall cars and Bedford trucks.

I remember the Cafe, quite a few fruit machines and pin balls. The motorbike shop on the corner was Kingstons, always had my eye on a Triumph Bonneville in there but never got my bum on it.

There was a club on st James st nearly opposite the Imperial. It was down a flight of stairs and it was called Nero's.

Ayup Concerned, whats wrong with Bulwell? I can remember a pub car park in Bulwell in the Eighties there were two women trying to see who could wee the furthest. You don't see that everywhere.

On the corner of Wilford rd/Goodhead st was a newsagents called Doyles. You can see a picture of it in a book called the Nottingham Meadows in the 70's by Bernard and Pauline Heathcote. ISBN 0 946245 96 7

The pawn shop was John Stoppards, on the corner of Arky and Cromford st. I used to go there for a neighbour and take in her husbands suit when she was skint.

Go to the end of Trent Lane and on the left you will find the Park Yacht club. This is the site of the old pleasure park.
