The new houses are built on the site of the old packaging factory and the station stood between there and Camelot Rd.
Opposite Bristol St motors is still the old station house.

I think it used to stand where house of Fraser is now. It was run by a lesbanian woman called Max.

Opposite Quorn road there was a packaging factory i think it was called Newtons, it is now housing. If you go towards Nottingham Rd you will pass Stratstone SAAB dealers, this is the site of the old Brough works. if you continue you will pass a very good sandwich shop and a newsagent, after that there is now wasteland which used to be Haydn scrap metals.

Bensons or whatever it's called now is opposite Shakespear St. Further up is the Yorker/Rose on the corner of Union St.
Further up from that on the same side used to be a pub called the Roebuck, which is now demolished.

Biggest rip off in Britain summed up in 2 words "Motorway Services". The last time i used them was about 5 years ago, a pot of tea was £1.80. The breakfasts were dried up and looked ill, i didn't ask the price.

A mate of mine moved to Dunstan st late sixties (no 125). I remember Pearl who lived a few doors away and Elaine Blood who live the other end of Dunstan st. We used to go to the fair on Victoria road and fishing down at the old gravel pits/lakes. If the wind was in the wrong direction there was a nasty smell, was it from Stoke Bardolph or a maggot farm near the river?

Welcome Keith, do you know of a Nigel Kelsall who lived in that area? He would be about 53 now.

It's time to make a stand and refuse to pay the booking fee.
One thing that annoys me is the service charge in restaurants if there are more than a certain number in your party.
Why should you pay more when you are getting the same service?

Go for it Sam. Anytime on Friday suits me. I'll bring a spade and a box of matches, you bring the camera.

Who's up for it then? We could go down the lift, along the tunnel and head north under mansfield road.
Maybe finish up under the Poacher.

Willie Young used to keep the Moor farm inn/Bramcote manor on Coventry Lane about ten years ago, the place is now a Church.

How many pints do you have to drink before it becomes visible?

You forgot the Barmaid with lovely big eyes.

In my opinion The first prize goes to the Oxford on Highbury Vale. Worst drink ever, bad staff attitude and the natives were unfriendly.

I've just been looking at Broughsuperiorclub.com and they say that the premises were made of pre fab concrete and were built in 1919 on Haydn Rd.
