The tall tower is supposed to be built near the bus depot on Parliament st, according to NEP the bus depot might be moving to the old site of Gedling pit.

I used this lift in the early seventies, with a transit size van. I can remember a tunnel running the length of the council house building wide enough for two vehicles but not sure if it went further.

On the Poultry there used to be a lift used by delivery vans that would take you under the old Burtons shop.
I would imagine it is still there.

I remember that road Stu from when i lived at Calverton. On your way to town there used to be a cafe and a petrol station on the left. That would be early sixties.

The pub on the corner of parliament st/ market st facing theatre royal was called parliament house and later the princess. It could be called summat else now

Also Primark on long row east (ex Littlewoods) you can walk through and come out on Maypole yard. Colmans dance room used to be there a.k.a. the racetrack.

I'd say top end Parliament st, on the long row entrance there was Skills toy shop.

As Eric said it was nice to put faces to names, sorry it was only a short stay by me. Next time will be a longer stay.
