Never more than once . they could have sent you to South Shields slightly better. The Northumberland coast has some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. If you ever visit the north east coast there are also castles and churches to see. Weather permitting.
I do not work for the tourist board LOL

R.E.A.D there is nothing that anyone can say that will help or ease the pain hat you both are going through, we are here to listen and give any help or comfort that we can. If there is no one that you feel you can turn to, strangers can be a great comfort. My thoughts are with you live every day that you have together to its fullest.

I have a friend who adds 5 years to her age just to hear people tell her how good she looks for her age. Now me when anybody says how old are you my hearing suddenly goes.

All these so called clebrities who go on tv asking for your money for everthing from food to blankets "do they get paid". Now that would really pee me off.

I was browsing in a charity shop the other week & a lady went to purchase a coat but was 30p short of the £3 price. I put fifty pence in her hand & told her to get her "new" coat !
Nowadays even some charity shops seem to forget what charity actually means.
Charity shops just want as much as they can get with no thought to the financial problems of those that shop there. You can buy a new child t/shirt in Primark cheaper than in a certain "charity shop". A friends daughter donated her wedding dress it went on sale at more than she paid, she bought it from a high street wedding shop from a range that they hire out then sell after cleaning. Now all my charity items go to PDSA.

Never had a halo Margie............................Born to be wild.
Edited Never tried to give up, chocolate, cakes , biscuits, icecream and Twister ice lollies. I have got a wicked sweet tooth.
I would prefer a fresh cream cake to a dinner any day of the week, nothing better than to see your tooth marks in the Lurpak butter. I blame my parents and grandparent who used their sugar rations for me as a child. I have on occasions tried to give up eating so many sweet things but when will power was handed out i was in the sweet shop.

On talent shows, when the panel say 'You nailed that song ', or 'You made that song your own ' .
What utter patronising twaddle !
What about "she/he owns the room" got to be one of the stupidest ever.

Hello trogg, I think I'm going to enjoy reading your memories! Like Sue, I wonder how you managed to be just a lurker for 2 years...
Margie, like trogg I lurked for a long time mainly because everyone seemed to know each other, also thought that I would have nothing to offer that would interest anyone else. Still not a prolific poster but try to check in at least every couple of days.

The main difference I have noticed is that,
If I fell over whilst running I bounced up and carried on running.
Now if I were to run, I would fall over and........... lay there moaning..................I've lost me bounce...............
Another New Basford lad (hubby) is in complete agreement.

What happens if husband and wife each have account on the same email address. Sorry if it seems a bit of a silly question.

This is for the sentimental ladies among us - type liberty bodice 1950s in search engine - you get not only liberty bodice but lots of pictures and adverts that cover our childhood, brought back many happy memories of shopping.

I passed my driving test xx years ago and I still can not reverse park. Been known to drive around a car park few times looking for parking space I can dive straight in and out. When have to reverse park could be classed as under the influence.

Tell us about your love life in 1959, Ben! Barbara Cartland's books have got nothing on you...not that I've ever read any!
Read one Barbara Cartland and you've read them all, so I have been told .Bit like Catherine Cookson !! just my opinion.

Nonna, also watched it and found some of the evidence quite compelling. We visited Northern Ireland in November and went to visit the Titanic exhibition it was a wonderful way to spend a day. Very interesting lots of facts and information that was new to me, recommended place to go. If you visit Belfast I also recommend Crumlin Road Goal, spooky to say the least, of the two attractions I preferd the prison.
