  2. We lost our beloved American bull terrier last year and said no more BUT never say never. Tomorrow we are getting a Labrador puppy called Lola, but Lola is special she will grow up to be a guide dog, she will be with us until about 14mths old when we will hand her over to complete her special training and be proud of the part that we have played. We know it will be hard after her being with us so long but we are prepared for that time.

  3. I also have windows 12 installed through the "back door" pressed the x and away it went all on its own. I only have one problem I have a problem downloading pictures from my camera but I contacted a computer engineer and my son will call in the morning. Come in useful sometime and will only cost a coffee and bacon sandwich.

  4. Reading through the comments from members of our "gang" it comes through how much you all care and are so willing to help it makes me realise that the good in our world shows well on here. Not a Nottingham native married a Basford lad we now live "up north" maybe one day we get to a meet up.

  5. love a good rummage charity shops/car boot mainly for bits of costume jewellry but have on occasion found nice handbags Have noticed that some of the "bigger charity" shops are quite expensive in some cases new childrens clothing can be bought cheaper at Primark, the stuff is donated free and they need to raise money. I think they can put profit before thinking about those who go into there shops go there because its all they can afford.

  6. Letsavagoo I can understand totally how you feel - 2yrs ago my cousin died we were both an only child and very close all our lives, her husband went through the funeral telling everyone she was his soulmate and could never be replaced and he would be true to her memory. Four weeks later my daughter and I went out for lunch to a country pub, I walked in saw him with his arm around a woman being very friendly. What I did was not very ladylike but I felt good, poured his drink over his head and slapped him as hard as I could ( he was lucky my stick was in car). While I am not advocating this method it just happend maybe find a photo of your brother in law n throw darts at it. Take care of yourselves we are all here to listen.

  7. Stu, reading you comments about Drury Hill brings to mind a building in Newcastle called Handyside Arcade, a lovely Victorian arcade of iron and glass. Remember all the sights and sounds we had mod shops/antique shops/hippie shops a fabulous mix of new and old. Sadly all pulled down in the name of progress if it had been left what a wonderful place it could have been a glimpse of our past to show the next generation what could have been.
