    Sorting through my grandparents' things, I have found a receipt from Siddons Garage, 329 Mansfield Road, dated 3 June 1927 for an Austin Seven priced at £145. By the time insurance, tax and delivery charges were added, my grandfather forked out some £159.18s.6d!
