I think her surname is Peake and she still lives in Strelley Village just down from me. The cottage she lives in was her father's and it came with the job at the hall.
Now when I lived on Yatesbury Crescent my next door neighbours on one side both worked at Players and the lady then in later years went on to be the head cook at Glaisdale School and Sue was her assistant .
I know Sue still lives in the cottage but not seen her for a few years because she is housebound now and has carers come on a daily basis. Not sure if she had a sister.

Last time I saw the NTV1, some years back it was on a green Jag or Daimler.
Never heard of Ann Yates, I wonder why the council would sanction a special registration for someone who would only be transient. Was the County Council based at the Council House then and not across the river?
Notts County Council started back in 1889 at The Shire Hall in High Pavement after centuries of administration by the magistrates at Quarter Sessions which dated back to feudal times.

If you want raw it doesn't get any better than this from the Sax Master, I also saw him at the Palais in the 80's.

#23 Hi Fly you will have passed my flat yesterday on you trip to Strelley Hall. I live only 5 minutes away near The Broad Oak. I have been in The Mulberry Tree a few times and although not cheap all the food is home made and delicious.

Hi John (post #1)
If you are on Facebook there is a page for the Dungeon Club called We Are The Mods ( members of the dungeon society) . They have a monthly meet up in The Bell in town and Stu Morriss was at the last meeting. There were photographs taken and Stu was on some of them. He is now confined to a wheelchair after having one leg amputated a few years ago. Check out the site there may be othe names you may know.

Hi Geoff ,
Looks like we were there at the same time as per my original post . I knocked about with Dave Padgett for a while out of work and we went out as a foursome me with Rosie's mate. Dave had a grey mini and his mum and dad had a shop in Basford.
I don't recall you though Geoff so we might have just missed working together. I also played football for them in The Thursday League . What is your surname Geoff.
