There's a report out today proposing a tram extension to Kimberley, and beyond. This could use the Great Northern but more significantly the Midland Railway tunnel at Watnall, near the secret bunker. The tunnel is full of pit waste but I have heard tha this has sunk a bit and it is possible to crawl through. Does anyone know what state the tunnel is in? Has anyone any pictures either recent or since closure of the tunnel inside or portals? The reason I ask is I am the person who ran the pro-tram group which got phase 2 of the tram to Beeston and am now helping those after the Kimberley route.
