WB   I presume the Manx Wallabies have tails....;)

Just wondered.... How did Manx cats come to be?   I suppose it must have been a strange cat breeder who  decided that it was an attractive feature to encourage.  I don't suppose the cats feel that way!

As far as I know the tailless cats were bred to be like that. Too much inbreeding, most of them (and the stumpies) have awful health problems. Definitely need pet insurance if you take one of them on!

I used to love those MFI diagrams..and the Eastern Germans leaving an essential screw out of the pack.

Used to work in the stores for a large engineering company with its own assembly area. Often used to add 1 extra screw or component and watch the assemblers trying to find out where they had missed something. My excuse is I was only a lad at the time and that sort of thing tickled my sense of humour back then.

  4. Cat in the Hat by Dr. Suess- weekly visit to the library just to renew it.

Then on to Billy Bunter and any Enid Blyton.

Moving onwards to early teenage, a girl I madly fell in love with for a few weeks had posh parents who got me to read Lord of the Rings (Hardback version).

Never looked back after that and will read anything fiction now.

Discovered Pratchett in the mid eighties and still reread his stuff occasionally now.

I doubt if the young uns of today would even believe those house prices.

    That's true...

Bought my first house in 1974 for £4,750. 2 bedroom terrace in Netherfield.

Sold it 6 years later for £9,500.

My youngest is starting to house hunt for the first time and the cheap side of things over here starts at more than £160,000!
