Got to the office at 7:00, got the wheels on industry going, bragged about superior water basting equipment on Nottstalgia, met with insurance people at 9:00, customer at 11:00, walked 9 holes, sun shining, birds singing (saw a huge hawk), screwed up a par 3 and a par 5, shot a 41 at 15:00, grilled some Mahi Mahi fillets while sampling a little red french number I found at Costco at the weekend at 18:00, at wife’s instance watched an episode of Cold Feet on Britbox at 21:00, went to bed at 22:30 slept like a log.

When you say pigs, are you talking hogs? Have they got up to you yet? I agree about the biting insects. Here in the USA you can get some nasty bites of some tiny little things, Brown Recluse, for example. I aways use a tissue to pick em up after I kill - just to be sure.

New York has cockroaches and is a great place to work and visit - not so good to live. Skeg on the other hand used to be something else. My Aunt had a caravan at Ingomills? and i would crash there in the morning after all nighters, better than the beach or the cop shop. Could hear the loud speakers at Butlins.

Having spent my youth at sea, I personally don’t have problem with insects as long as they don’t bite. Its the screaming when a spider or cockroach is seen and jumping on chairs I can’t stand

We have cockroaches that are, no kidding, 2 inches long. We have to have the house sprayed every 3 months and even then they come into the house after the rain. It takes some serious violence to kill em

Houston had a big flood last year and when we lived there in the early 90’s. You should have seen some of the wild life that came to our houses to escape. Snakes, snapping turtles and the scariest rats you’ve ever seen. Google Nutria - imagine hall a dozen of them running at you!

Ian I don’t know enough about guitars or what a basement job is. For me what I’m trying to do is to only work 3 days a week - that hasn’t worked out too well in the sense that I end up working 5 days a week. But I get home about 3 pm, have enough time in the summer to get 9 holes in, ride my bike and / or drink a bunch, fall asleep, get up early and do it all again.
