Or put up the leaving age for schools, what's  a year at least the students will get real exam results.  After all they have done it for pension age.

I agree with Mary, put the school leaving age up......to 27.

  2. Thanks for chapter two Loppy.

But it's the first time I've ever had to scroll sideways to read it. Were you typing on a toilet roll sideways.

Still, managed to read it OK. Must say, I'm a wee bit envious as I would have loved to travel. Considered it when we first got married in '65, but when the kids came along that put the brakes on that. Because they were both disabled, we wouldn't have been allowed and if we were, I would have been bankrupt within a year !

By the time they both passed away, (1978 &1990) it was too late for us. I was diagnosed as type 2 diabetic mid 80s so that would have been another block. So, for the last 33 years we've been on our own down here in East Sussex.

Looking forward to chapter three LL. Take care and can I  be the first to wish you, Happy Easter !!

  3. One time, we had a dog and cat at the same time. I was watching the pair of buggers one day and the cat jumped on the sideboard, onto the top of the fish tank and knocked off the tin of fish food. The dog then proceeded to take off the lid so that they both could share the contents. I would have given a Kings ransom for a digital camera then.

  5. They seem to give out knighthoods and 3 letter titles like dishing out sweeties nowdays. Why don't they just give them to people who have earned recognition from charity work and devotion to duty etc. not somebody who wins a few races or scores some goals and wotnot. You can almost buy a title now days.

  6. The rewards of a privileged upbringing. It's the strategy in the pits that win the races on the Scalextric track.

The driver is secondary. The races are so predictable. I stopped watching F1 ages ago, much prefer touring car racing. At least they try to overtake, almost at all costs. Sometimes it's a free for all, especially with the junior drivers.
