carni 10,094 Posted November 21, 2015 Report Share Posted November 21, 2015 I see that the start on the link road to ease traffic through Gedling, going from Burton Road to Mapperley plains is due to start in 2017. Does anyone know the route it will take. I can only think of up through Cavendish; unless it is intended at the other end of Burton Rd. there is some discussion going on about damage to the Carlton Le Willows football fields. The areas concerned are very built up so there has to be a lot of upheaval when work starts. The last time we went to Gunthorpe part of the road near Burton Joyce had been closed off for the new road, which took us by surprise I imagine that is around were the Gedling link road will be joined on.
