Thinking Back Soul Music was our Bread and butter in the 60's and 70's. But were we conciouse that most of it was based on The Black protest movement. Also the mention of Chicken Gravy in one hit in the UK, I was told referred to White mans blood! (do you know which record that was?) I just saw it as good music.
