The first is a response to an additional question (How many lions on the market Square?) to fool automated (spambot) registrations.

2. I need to know exactly what happens when you try to post on the calendar? Including copying any text in error message.

Ian

Am I starting to sound like Bip? !laughing!

I got the reply

Hello,

What process are they going through when attempting to add an event? I created a test member account and was able to post an event without error.

If you could provide the settings they're using when attempting to create an event, we can take a look at what's going on. Using the defaults and creating a single day event, there were no errors.

Here's what I am doing - correct me if this is wrong ( and it happens both at home and on the work computer)

Click on the calendar button on top header (Calendar Members Search Help)

Scroll down to Add New Event box at bottom left screen

Click - Add New Single Event

Result =

I (Admin status) can Add an event.

I have changed Ian & Frank from Moderator group to Member Group.

Please try and add an event now.

This will test member group permissions?

Yes - that's done the trick here as well.

Looks like I'm doomed to the rest of me life as a Member now thumbsdown

What about the problem with the first Smilie Mick - did that get fixed? http://www.websmileys.com/s

I will be visiting the U.K. the first week of March - lets meet in "The Poacher" on Saturday evening for a beer and a look at the faces of as many here who can make it!

I'll try to be there about 7:00pm for a couple of hours at least!

Ey Up Mick:

No complaints eh? I'm not surprised - we can't post to that thread!

Anywhoo - I got one. When I use "View New Posts" to look at new messages, it does indeed come up with all the new messages I have not read since I was last logged on. All the messages are marked "unread" - as they should be. However, if I read a message at the top of the list, then go back to "View New Posts", the new posts still show up - but all marked as "read". If I start at the bottom of the list, and work my way up, this does not happen!

Weird, or what?
