Bip 88
Our motorways have become one large car park. Took these two pictures today as I was crossing a motorway bridge over the M1 between J24 & J25. As you can see the northbound traffic is at a stand still and the south bound three lanes are empty. Apparently there had been a six-car pile up just before J25. Bloody glad I’m not stuck like those poor sods, what with my delicate bladder. Bip.
Beefsteak 305
Wouldn't be the first time I've had to pee up the back wheel of my truck in these same circumstances.
Charlie 11
Wouldn't be the first time I've had to pee up the back wheel of my truck in these same circumstances. Does that help with the tyre pressure?
Bip 88
Does that help with the tyre pressure? I shouldn't imagine so Charlie but would help to melt the snow if one found one stuck in a snow drift.... Bip.

Beefsteak 305
Unfortunately you don't get many of them on motorways
Bip 88
I think the driver in the bottom of the first picture has had enough he’s getting his fold away bike out so as he can go and see what the hold up is. I bet any money he’s a rep for a ice cream company afraid of his samples melting. Bip.
Stan 386
Ah well, not for much longer ,Bip you soon will not be able to afford to drive your car even if you could find space! However, Treasury figures slipped out in a parliamentary answer show that of the 21.9 million cars that will be on British roads by 2010/11, 43 per cent - or 9.4 million - will pay higher VED in real terms than they do now. Another 39 per cent - 8.4 million - will be left no better off. Just 18 per cent - 4.1 million - will actually benefit. Of the 9.4 million who will be worse off, 1.18 million motorists will be dragged into the highest two tax bands, where the annual cost is upwards of £400. George Osborne, the Conservative shadow chancellor said yesterday that Mr Brown appeared to have misled the public and parliament over the issue. More than 9 million motorists face road tax increases of up to £245 under the Government's "green" car tax plans, the Treasury has admitted. Currently, vehicles registered between March 2001 and March 2006 cost a maximum of £210 for a year's road tax. But from April 2010, that rate will rise to £455 for the most polluting cars - a £245 rise.
Bip 88
What you have posted Stan is being discussed today in the house. Browns being accused of misleading the public over this, he stated some time ago that the majority of motorists wouldn’t be affected. Personally the green issue is another way of raising funds so as we can keep known terrorists in £800-000 houses and pay them too a thousand pounds in benefits a month. Bip.
