Stan 386
All parking tickets invalid without two dates? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- According to this site, http://neilherron.blogspot.com/ the High Court have now ruled that all PCN parking tickets run by the Council must have two dates on them, a date of issue and also a date of contravention otherwise the ticket is invalid. Now a precedent has been set I would have thought this would have made headline news but I've not seen any mention of this recent ruling in the press? Anyone know where I can read the decision in full as I have such a PCN with only one date printed? Millions of motorists could escape parking fines by driving away before the ticket is placed on their windscreen, after a landmark High Court case. Judges ruled that businessman Simeon Ademolake does not have to pay a £50 fine because the warden had not placed the ticket on his car before he drove off.
Frank 13
Wasn't there a change in the law just recently whereby they can now just view the offence and issue the ticket by post?
mick2me 3,033
I saw two council wardens issuing a parking ticket today. One writing, the other photographing the car
rob237 89
Amidst all these changes, the basics remain the same... I've yet to read a parking ticket 'sob story' from someone who was not parked illegally... In the highly unlikely event that someone was legally parked, the appeals process will always work in their favour. Cheers Robt P.
Beefsteak 305
Have you read my post in Southport Airshow Rob ? We were parked legally (Otherwise I wouldn't have parked there !!) that same situation happened to me at a Notts game once, I parked, then the cones were put out , this time I wrote to the chief of police and it was begrudgingly rescinded !!
