Stan 386
The Ashes: England face survival Sunday against rampant Australians England must bat out the final day of the first npower Test at Cardiff if they are not to suffer one of the most demoralising Test defeats in their history. By Simon Briggs Published: 10:09PM BST 11 Jul 2009 Trapped: Australia's Ben Hilfenhaus celebrates his dismissal of England's Ravi Bopara Photo: REUTERS Having already conceded the highest total in Ashes cricket since the Second World War, they will start on Sunday on 20 for two, still 219 runs in arrears. More ineffectual bowling from the hosts saw Australia reach a jaw-dropping 674 for six before the declaration finally came. Overnight batsmen Marcus North and Brad Haddin both completed chanceless centuries, making this the first time England have conceded four individual hundreds in a Test innings. rob237 89
An erstwhile employer of mine sponsored the World Conker Championships for many years. Presented to the staff, via the House rag, as equivalent to sponsorship at the highest level...amazing! "The uneducated in pursuit of the unsophisticated" Cheers Robt P.
