Ashley 288 Posted January 27, 2011 Report Share Posted January 27, 2011 Yes indeed, a few things of interest, Rosetta Rd was then called Rosetta Street, the road that vanished next to Fairfax St when they built the ring road is shown, though I can't make out it's name? Hardy Street? Also Nottingham Road has been demoted Old Basford side of the railway after new end of Vernon Road opened with Church St looking to be "main rd" and Whitemoor Rd which my dad said was an unmade lane looks to be a main road too. My guess re the old Thomas North Railway from Babbo pit mentioned on another page was right, it did join the radford to trowell route, maybe the latter did indeed follow some old pit line?
