  1. I'm a newbie... I will learn. you are obviously feeling better, I am still under the weather and need sympathy!!!!!
  2. I asked our local greengrocer if she stocked it recently and she said it has been banned....like you say due to health and safety as it is made with unpasturised milk...such a shame, was great stuff!!!!
  3. I remember the Windsor picture house on Hartley road...It's a carpet place now, have been inside recently and it has not been converted....still has the stage etc. couldn't get over how small it is...always seemed much bigger when I was young....but then I was smaller then too!!!!!
  4. Did you go to the 7d rush on a saturday afternoon?, dancing at the front and yo yo championships, old western movies and road runner!!!! Great times in the early 60's eh!!!!

Bomb buildins and the pawn shop .....now there's some old memories, I lived on Harold Road, just off Hartley road 1953 to 1971 and I had a great Grandma who lived on Independent St, I used to visit her every day to make her fire, there were bomb buildings just off Denison St where I used to play, and a paper shop where I used to by my copy of Bunty...loved it because it had a cut out doll with clothes on the back page.   7. I used to live on Harold Road 1953 -1971, Dine's fish shop on the corner, Baby shop on the other. I also remember the cake shop on Hartley road and the posh clothes shop next to Gutteridges sweet shop where I spent my pocket money.
