Skills garage used to be here........ https://goo.gl/maps/RVnQWb9o2Xkgr5Ek9
It's now all student accommodation blocks.

This is the area in the 1920s. Hague Terrace is arrowed.
The road along the bottom is Ilkeston Road.
The 'Chapel' top left is still there. https://goo.gl/maps/8XFseQhbAAnrVg2c9

I knew I'd find something eventually.
A collection of photos including one showing Hague Terrace off Hague Street, Radford.

Hague Terrace was in the Meadows.....but based on what Blakey has now said, I've looked a bit further afield.
There was a Hague Street in Radford, running between Bramcote Street and Ilkeston Road (not far from St Peter's Street).
And there might've been a Hague Terrace there....but I can't prove it yet.

Sponge puddings these days all seem to come in those single serving, two-pack plastic packages.
-
And there's the added complication that Fray Bentos make Steak & Kidney Pies as well as Steak and Kidney Puddings.
-
Hague Terrace was in the Meadows, off Orange Street.
-
How many people knew this ? From Wikipedia.
Fray Bentos is the capital city of the Río Negro Department, in south-western Uruguay
A pie named after a South American city.

Berkel and Parnall seems to be the name. And looking at the photos I remember such things in shops.

Why is corned beef packed in tins which need that kind of opener ?
Surely someone could have invented a different method of packaging by now.

The Bamboo Coffee Bar was at 157 - 159 Mansfield Road and run by Ray Holland at some point - the premises was last used as a chinese restaurant
That'll be this place, next door to The Poacher.

The list you've just posted is a perfect example of girls names when I was at Infants and Junior Schools, in the first half of the 1960s.

I don't think I remember hearing that phrase for rain, but in school days I had a friend whose surname was Tyler, and he was always known as Taz.

A good example of how names go in and out of fashion.
Rose is fairly popular now, but I'll bet there have been very few of the others in recent years.

I've heard of Eggs Benedict but never had them/it/one so I had to look it up. Not sure if I'd like it; might be a bit sickly for me.
At least I've learned something new today.

The oldest registration I can remember is from the early 1960s when my father had a Bond Minicar (3-wheeler).
It was XTV 807 but these days doesn't even register on the government website. Its life probably ended by the mid-60s.
-
I'd just searched it as well.... Yes, it was an Opel Manta, officially described as Bronze.
The thinking man's Capri.
-
I had JTV 111V which meant nothing to me at the time, but would probably be worth something now.

Maybe that's what happens to people who stop posting on Nottstalgia.
They are actually still there, but posting in a parallel universe. I wonder who reads their stuff.

It's Nottingham who do it....not Nottinghamshire.
Any of this lot........ https://www.nottinghamcitylibraries.co.uk/find-a-library/

C.T., why is it, I cannot open your link because I'm not on Facebook.
You need to be registered/logged in to Facebook in order to see anything on it.

You may already know this, but the Bulwell Bygones page on FB has an album of photos of Commercial Road over the years.

Do the Police still do ID parades today ? Or has technology moved on ?
There's always one in the old films on Talking Pictures.
