A nice little earner there Lizzie.

Living beside one of the busiest roads in Nottingham, I'm used to the traffic noise, but why oh why do drivers feel the need to hoot their horns unnecessarily. It's a crime for heavens sake, but some appear to hoot at every opportunity ! Mindless in the extreme !

Well someone has got money to splash out on nonsensical projects during this endless period of austerity.
Ok, it's great that England won the cricket World Cup, but some clown wants to paint all the letter boxes in Nottingham white ! Why ?
Then there's the Nottingham Pride Festival soon, and another bright spark wants parts of the road surface in Hockley and Carlton St resurfaced in the colours of the rainbow. You couldn't make it up.

Pets At Home are ridiculously expensive, and the selection isn't always that great either.
-
Hopefully it'll never be developed and built on Lizzie.

The kids break up soon. Mayhem will ensue.

I'd like to disable the air conditioning at times. Madam likes an Arctic gale blowing, whilst I prefer warmth.

Whilst visiting the WW1 memorial on the embankment this morning, I spotted amongst the varied bird population, a pigeon with a brown head and chest, with black wings and tail. It turned out to be a Copper Blackwing Angel Pigeon. Beautiful, and definitely not feral. However, it was chasing after all the other pigeons, so we might see some hybrids soon !

Well I visited it this morning, and was somewhat disappointed, as despite only being open a couple of weeks, it's already looking decidedly tatty. Some of the grey plaques are a different shade, which gives the impression that replacements have already been made, and as they're set at an angle and not vertical have already got stains and bird pooh on them. All in all, quite disappointing.

Rainbow Rooms maybe ?

The demise of the pet shops is similar to the way other high street retail outlets have vanished due to the superstores and online shopping.
Model Railway shops, toy shops, florists, hardware stores, and many other small specialist shops.

Just lets Notts CCC can be inspired, and pull themselves away from the bottom of the league.

My late mate Rob would have been ecstatic at the result. The Johnny Walker or Bells would have been flowing like Niagara Falls.
RIP Rob237.

CH 4 coverage wasn't bad, but the bleddy adverts pee me off. Especially when it's for Skodas !
I watched our innings with 5 Live commentary, but gave up after Tuffers did his bits, then it was all Antipodian accents which I abhor, so I stuck with CH 4.

Bulwell Pets & Aquatics.... Just googled it, and it seems you're right. Shame.
-
I'm certain it was open within the last few weeks.
-
There's still an independent pet shop on Main St, Bulwell, opposite Tesco's.

5 pm, I was pacing around despondent and swearing profusely. 7.30..... Delighted, delirious and drained mentally and physically.

I was only going to watch a bit, early this afternoon, but was hooked, and I'm still on the settee wobbling like a jelly !

YES ! England win the World Cup in dramatic fashion. I swear my ticker stopped at least five times. Ben Stokes, superb !
An extra G & T. Tonight.

Yes, I believe it was there into the 60's.

Tea Shops, Garden Centres, Nature Reserves, village greens, roadside cafes. I saw a couple today in normal clothing.
How very dare they ?
-
Many garden centres have Maidenhead Aquatics outlets. They definitely sell fish there.

Phil M. Been tootling around one of your favourite areas this morning. East of the A614 / A6097. (The posh side) Back lanes around Farnsfield, Edingley, Halam, etc. Beautiful scenery and some cracking properties. Beats Basford hands down !
Things that pee you off...

Thank goodness it's not the lot, as I'm certain it'd be a messy result being white.
