Tree rats! I have shot them in the past but I've gone soft and can't bring myself to do it now.

Grey squirrels don't hibernate but sleep more often during winter. We've got plenty round here.

I would never criticise a ‘leaver’. I didn’t vote to join the EEC many years ago at the first poll but now that we are in we seem to be inextricably tangled. I shall watch the disentanglement with interest and hope for a successful outcome.

I’ve ordered twice from Amazon this week and in both cases they were delivered the next day. That’s not using ‘prime’ either.
An update: It came next day but was wrongly delivered to a house down the lane. Someone’s just brought the package round! Spoke too soon about the efficiency. I’ve just ordered an electric shaver from Amazon which I spotted when tracking this package. £100 off! We shall see when this arrives.

I voted to remain as I knew ‘leave’ would result in one unholy mess. How right I was! There’s still more to come.

Yes, it’s so long ago. It was potassium permanganate and glycerine I was thinking of. The potassium permanganate and sugar mix was the propellant in a two stage rocket that a school friend launched on the field at Mellish one lunchtime. Unfortunately it exploded on the launch pad. All of the school rushed to see what it was whilst six of us rushed in the opposite direction! The rocket man would normally have been caned but as he suffered from a heart condition he was suspended for a month, allowing him time to revise for his A levels. The rest of us, knowing but not directly responsible, received a mild rebuke!

Just an example of how left wing local authorities work. They just haven’t got a clue.

The problem with Corbyn is that he is unable to make a decision. It continues now that he can’t make a decision on his resignation. He needs ‘a period of contemplation’. Gawd help us!

You’ve got to face the fact that Corbyn and his left wing ideology lost the election for Labour. They need to make their way back to being a social democratic middle of the road party to gain any credibility. They are trying to blame their failure on Brexit when Corbyn and his rabid left wing are the true culprits.

You’re right about Corbyn. He contributed substantially to Labour’s loss. The electorate didn’t want an academic failure with the appearance of an unmade bed in charge of this great country.

You won’t admit defeat will you Col?
-
Yes, he comes across as a decent chap. Five years of Tory rule might bring him round!

I’ve seen your informed and penetrating analyses on the forum Col. From what I can see it’s only Brew that reads them!

You lost Col, in a democratic vote. I voted to remain but I accepted the decision and didn’t whinge about it.

Potassium permanganate mixed with sugar can be spectacular. Don’t try this at home kids!

Laws of science can proven by demonstration. Theories, such as those of Einstein and Darwin are not wholly proven but no one has yet come up with a better premise.

Yes, banned around 2014 so safe to eat unwashed fruit!

Copper sulphate = vomiting and diarrhoea! I must admit I never wash grapes and have never suffered.
-
Copper sulphate! I'll wash my grapes in future.

They are gradually drawn into the gravitational attraction of a planet
-
Coefficient of friction of the moving parts will prevent full perpetual motion. Also gravitational force will act against it.
-
Yes, sadly the perpetual motion machine is yet to be invented!
How's your day?

Well for many people a smartphone is a necessity and it's a fact that they cost a few hundred quid. Jewellery is purely an adornment.
