I knew someone called Christoper Paul Cobb. That's fine until you see it as -
Chris P Cobb.

Barnsley is closest for Compo. Long drive for a jigsaw puzzle though!

Surely marrying into the Royal Family is the very epitome of social climbing. Doesn't come much higher than that!
When I wanted to marry Princess Anne I was told I was too common. When a younger friend applied to marry her daughter Zara he was told he wasn't common enough - just can't win.

I think television killed Peter Brough and Archie Andrews. He was a great ventriloquist for radio but on TV both their lips moved at the same time in perfect harmony!

Maybe a DNA test first.

Reminds me of a ventriloquist's dummy. Not very royal but probably trendy. There'll be lots of little Archies now!

Leroy I like. Le Roi - The King.

I’m surprised it wasn’t a more popular name post war but it failed to catch on, mind you neither did Clement.

Being a wartime baby my grandfather wanted me to be called Winston! Thank God my parents ignored him. The only Winston's I've ever known came from Jamaica!

Only 'common' people wear those. Don't tell me you've got one BK!

Baby made his first public appearance wrapped in a Nottingham shawl, made by G H Hurt & Son of Chilwell, just like his cousins. Good for local business.
Wearing a hat though to hide the ginger curls.

It's their family antics and protocol I find weirdly amusing. Their order of precedence and who bows and scrapes to who and under what circumstances. Does it all really matter?

I once studied genetics. It's interesting to see the results of breeding and what genes will be dominant or recessive. I also find the Royals a source of amusement.

Probably a mix up at the hospital.

Pictures just released. Colour pink. Big sigh of relief from Duke of Edinburgh!

The image was immediately visible Paul and the link worked as well.

It’s funny how all the things you’re taught at school never crop up in later life. My Latin is only useful in deciphering ancient gravestones and I’ve never seen a quadratic equation. As for calculus - what was that for? A grasp of Ohm’s law and Newton’s Laws of Motion is all you ever need to get by.

Are they members of the Cats Protection League? You could be put down.

Pouring with rain here! In my garage doing stuff towards the restoration of an early Sunbeam.
On the shelf I have a very early Watford speedometer (1910) that has some brass gears missing. I would very much like to use this Speedo and am looking for somebody like a clockmaker who might be able to cut some gears for me anyone on this forum know of a retired person or enthusiast who could do this kind of work. I have tried local clockmakers and indeed one or two nationally but I think that the work is not sufficiently interesting to them.
The British Horological Association at Upton, Notts might be able to put you in touch with someone.

I think the fault lies in the lack of publicity of his role in that most of us don't know what he can do for us and how we can contact him.

The problem is that the function and purpose of the crime commissioner is not well publicised and we don't know how to contact him or for what specific purposes can he help us.
