If we had the vote today without doubt it would be now far bigger than 51.9% we all knew what we voted for that was out, we wasn't asking for any deals.
Maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong - I don't know. The most vociferous 'no rerun' are logically enough the leavers but if ,as you say, there is no doubt about the result, then why not just let it happen and enjoy the ' I told you' moment when you're proven right?

I find it strange that among my friends the reasons for a leave vote seems to be changing. It was mostly immigration and EU Laws. Now it seems to be a vague mish mash of reasons and it's all going to be alright in the end innit. Immigration is still mentioned but with far less conviction.

Quite agree with you Letsav. Political comment on here usually runs until someone takes exception or becomes confrontational and them a moderator comes along and gives us all a full Bold font warning.
As for a second run, like you I thought "they won, get over it" but as things unfold it looks as though the situation is not how anyone imagined it would be. To be honest I'm still on the fence about it.
At my age the full effect of leaving will take so long I doubt I will be around to see it and say "I tode yer wot would appen", pity really

I'm coming round to the idea of a rerun and it seems to me to the biggest objectors to one are the leavers. They have a point, we had a referendum and they won but it's now clear that the outcome and all the ramifications were not known.
There has been sharp practice on both sides, lies and laws broken.
It's a bloody disgrace that we are in this situation.

Just to throw a contentious spanner into the thread. I don't think water companies should be run at a profit.
It is one of life's essential elements and for private enterprise to control it is wrong, doubly so when they have a monopoly.
They own the water in the ground, in the rivers and streams. They would I'm sure, if they could think of a way to do it, claim ownership of the rain that falls on your roof - they already charge you for collecting it.

The general rule when digging in the footpath is that any root about thumb thickness must not be cut. Excavation with 1mtr of a tree is forbidden, special precautions taken up to 4 times the trees circumference and in all cases hand digging only. Trees are the utilities nightmare.

Were you stuck outside the window or inside?
Top half outside hands on the tiles for support (the roof slopes down) and bum in the air on the inside knees on the cill.
I was eyeing the gutter from the patio about an hour ago but got the 'dead eye' and a "don't even think about it"
