  1. Being stuck in a queue drives me to distraction so much so I flatly refuse to drive anywhere Friday afternoon from about 2:30. I try my best to remember it may be some poor sod in a tangled wreck but it's difficult at times when it takes an hour deciding to divert traffic.

  2. The first is my guess at your natural style. The second I would expect to see from a left hander, you're not. Three and five are close to Marion Richardson so are possibles, four is Gothic and not a 'natrual' style and finally the spacing of the last line is so different I doubt it.   ;)

    calls a spade a spade.

Not the best choice of words given the subject Ayup but I take his point.

Compo asked if it needs colour to be racist, no, not really. The Englishman, Irish etc. jokes are about national characteristics not race. Had the joke been 'a Caucasian, an Oriental and a Negro then racial difference comes to the fore and becomes the subject depending on what follows.

There is also the question of the teller. If a Pakistani tells a joke about two Pakistani men and a Pakistani woman then a Pakistani audience would not scream racist (sexist maybe). If a white guy did the same he would quickly be made to see the error of his ways. It's a question of perception and perspective

I had always thought that Cursive / Italics / double writing was essentially the same thing.

Cursive, double and joined up are the same but they are not 'styles' in the same way Italics and copper plate are

Did anyone have to learn ITALIGRAPH writing'?

We simply called it italic writing. It wasn't taught as such but the English teacher at Fairham had the best handwriting I've ever seen, he wrote in italics. The only formal writing style was Marion Richardson (mentioned on this site some time ago).
