Thought the Elise had the Toyota engine!. The one in the MG was a bag of s*'*, head gasket problems just for starters. And that's me, who was a avid BMC / Rover fanatic having owned many variants.
My apologies, just remembered, it was the Elise 111s that had the Toyota engine. The others did have the ,'k' series engine. Still a bag of s***t !!

Just make sure the camera goes down your throat first, and not the other way round!! All the best, hope it all goes well.

Adding to medical visits, I've just had a phone call from Brighton General to tell me I have to go for a colonoscopy and endoscopy. This is following a blood test which revealed I have iron deficiency and anaemia and they don't know the cause yet. I've been assured it's a precautionary procedure, but I want to know why it's being done under emergency. Happy Christmas eh !

It's that time of yeaer once again folks! Here's my latest offerring. A Wasgij Destiny series puzzle. For those who aren't familiar with the Wasgij idea -- you are given a picture and have to work out what the actual image might be. In this case it is an airport from the 1920s/30s and you have to guess what the scene might look like 70yrs on. Some are reverse pictures - you see what a person standing in the final puzzle image is seeing and have to reverse it to see what the people in the image on the box are seeing. Anyway here's the airport one:
That can't be right Compo, you don't get a MGB TF doing 140 mph !!! Not even if it went over a cliff.

Just out of curiosity, do we have a technical page/thread?. I'm sure there are more people like me that would benefit from such a thread/page.
it's good that there are folks on here that know about 'computer/ tv wizardry ' so instead of finding out these things on a random pos t, then perhaps a dedicated section. Only asking.

After such a long post...why is this only 3 words long?
This is how politics work, you only get told what 'they ' think you need to be told!!

I'd hazard a guess the next most distracting thing while driving, after texting, is women with their brood in the back seat.
I don't know, but my work mate and I were on our way to training course when we came to a stop due to the traffic. The next instant, our vectra was turned into a corsa by some stupid female that hadn't noticed that we had stopped. Dave and myself had a severe whiplash injury, she had what we thought was lots of blood on her face, it was infact, lipstick!!!

I do the weekly washing down at the river using a flat stone to beat the clothes clean
Daft as it sounds, out here in India, they still do the washing like that. Mind you, most of the time, they're on their mobile phones!!

When we lived in Norfolk, i was travelling home from work on my motorbike, and a suicidal sparrow hit me on the shoulder. Even with my leathers, the daft thing left a fair bruise that lasted for ages!!

My words exactly, Phil. (Or sentiments, whatever fits)

The outcome will be what it is and people should not assume that they are right all the time, just because it goes against they're way of thinking. Unfortunately, politics work exactly the same way. As once was said, the only person to enter parliament with true intentions, was Guy Fawkes.

I don't have to accept the coming catastrophe.
Unless you're in a position to map out the future, unfortunately, you do. I respect your views, but you need to also respect other people's and the folks that voted for Boris obviously believe in him. Only time will tell. I have only voted for whoever promised to do the best, and in all my years, have been let down by both parties. I, personally don't think that any party can solve all the issues. Or as they say, you can't please all the people all the time!!

My father was pretty handy at billiards, and that stood him in good stead for snooker. He did try to show me the fundamentals but i couldn't grasp it in the same way as snooker. My father actually beat Ray Reardon at a guest visit tournament at my fathers golf club. A few of the decent players were invited to play and dad was one of them. Before the game, they were requested to smash the balls (no pun intended) on the break so that Ray would look good!.. Not dad's style, he plays anything to win. When Ray lost the frame, he congratulated my dad for a 'interesting ' game.

I voted to remain in the EU, but agree with Labour's proposal for holding a different referendum with a more informed choice this time.
A referendum is the 'people's ' chance to speak. I don't think that any party would have given all the facts. But i don't agree about having another referendum, what happens if it doesn't go 'they're way '?. Do we have another one. But also what happens if it goes the other way? Do we then have a best of three?. It's took too long now, and only because they were naive enough to think that we all would vote to stay. Once upon a time, (no its not a fairy story) we were called Great Britain, now, folks just refer to it as Britain!. The song used to be "Rule Britannia, Britannia rule the waves. I see it now as " Rule Britannia, Britannia rule sod all.
