loppylugs 8,429
Trying to clean out some old stuff. I have lots of old floppy discs dating back to the Atari days. Now I know some could be used for coasters. Shims for a table with uneven legs. Does anyone have any other ideas for using such items. I hate throwing them in the trash but they don't seem to have much use for anything else. Any ideas?

loppylugs 8,429
Pretty neat Stu. Might help to hold my car together, but I'm talking about the 3.5 inch plastic ones. Packet of ten was about $50 back in 1985.
mick2me 3,033
If its any help you can change them from 720k to 1.44mb storage by drilling a hole in the corner. Turn 720k floppies to 1.44mb + more Retro Friday: The 720k Floppy Disk | PCMech
loppylugs 8,429
These are formatted to 720k, Mick. When we consider a small photo takes most of that they do not seem to have much use. I actually still have the Atari mega 4 ste that used them I really should get rid of it too, but I doubt too many would be interested in this museum piece. Good computer in its day though.
