ChrisB 150
Can anyone help, I'm going mad! I want BBC East Midlands news from Nottingham and all I can get is West Midlands news from Birmingham. I've got a Panasonic LCD telly which uses a communal ariel and I've tried everything I can think of, pressed every button, done complete re-tunes. I had it once, then lost it, now I can't get it back. There must be something I'm missing. Any suggestions?
Beefsteak 305
Find out from the BBC what the frequency is for their Nottingham transmision then see if you can enter it manually, you should be able to, the communal ariel won't have any effect on it. Cliff Ton 10,488
Scroll down a bit to the regional section http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBC_UK_regional_TV_on_satellite
Beefsteak 305
It's the frequency he needs not the channel number that it should be on ! If the Birmingham signal is stronger than the Nottingham one, this will make itself the dominant one
Michael Booth 7,364
Maybe this will help you, ChrisB. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-12537802
Beefsteak 305
I did forget to mention that it might be easier to get yourself an indoor aerial to point to a different transmitter, I forgot that Notts Signals probably use a different transmiter to Birmingham (Sutton Coldfield)
ChrisB 150
Well, the good news is, at least I've managed to find it. It's just that I can't lock it in, It goes back to West Midlands every time. Still, at least I can watch East Midlands now with a bit of channel hopping!
mick2me 3,033
pick up a cheap sky dish and satellite receiver from ebay. You can then get regions from any area of the UK. Plus you will the best reception. If you really want to push the boat out, you can get a receiver that records and you can play programs from the last week.
