Strawberries finished.

Well that's the strawberries done for the year. Now to peg out runners for a new batch. At this time of year we get 24hrs daylight and that, coupled with keeping them in a greenhouse, ensures an early crop and time to set runners for new plants. Soft fruits do well in Scotland. If you take a look at their variety names you will find loads of Scottish sounding varieties.

I too remember doing about "Soft Fruit from the Central Lowlands" as part of my Geography course .

LOVE STRAWBERRIES, RASPBERRIES ,LOGAN BERRIES ALTHOUGH YOU DONT SEE THE LATER AS OFTEN AS WE USED TOO.

HAVE JUST BEEN TO MY SISTERSIN ARNOLD AND PICKED THE LAST FEW OF HER PLANTS NOT VERY BIG BUT VERY SWEET AND JUICY.
