carni 10,094
We have just driven through Colwick Vale on our Journey to Gedling and as we passed the CofE John The Baptist School we couldn't help but see the aeroplane in the school grounds. Does any one know how long it has been there and why it is there and what the connection is with the school? It's not every day you see a plane on school premises. We usually drive on the loop road past The retail park and up through Netherfield so i can't remember if i have seen it before.
Cliff Ton 10,467
Afraid I can't answer your question, but if anyone else is wondering what you are talking about......it is slightly unusual. http://goo.gl/maps/sytUI
carni 10,094
Cliff Ton, Thank you for the image, That response was so quick, perhaps some one will come up with the reason for it being there.
Trickymicky 57
I think its used as an additional classroom, at least that was the original intention, unless health and safety have managed to put the mockers on it. Must have been there two or three years now. It suffered some sort of vandalism/graffiti early on, but seems to have been restored to its former glory.
Bilboro-lad 294
It crash landed on Mandela day so it never made the papers.
StephenFord 866
Does the headteacher commute to work in it? Maybe he/she has discovered that the workplace parking levy doesn't apply to aircraft !
