Smiffy49 590
Went to the Lord Mayor of Grantham's Christmas Cracker Show last night. It's an annual event to raise money for many good causes, with 6 excellent acts on stage. The opening performance was by a band introduced as from Nottingham, but I am ashamed to say I had never heard of them before. Has anyone else heard, or seen, The Ricky Hunter Big Band? 15 very talented musicians producing the Glen Miller sound. It was a very mixed show and the curtain was brought down by another unknown (punk) band to me - "Race to the Grave" loud but very entertaining, even though I could not understand a word they were singing. catfan 14,793
"Race to the Grave", sounds more like a firm of undertakers to me.
