park-lives-47_crop.jpg Parklives launches: 26 May at Colwick Park
Free, fun activities this summer with Parklives
Nottingham’s parks and open spaces will host more than a thousand fun and free activity sessions this summer. Nottingham City Council has teamed up with Coca-Cola Great Britain to bring ParkLives to the city to help residents get active in their community.
Join us for the big launch event on Tuesday 26 May at Colwick Country Park, 11am - 3pm. The day will feature a packed programme for all ages and abilities including wall climbing, high rope courses as well as canoeing and powerboating on the lake. There will also be Thai Chi, rounders, archery, football, park ranger activities and plenty of picnic areas to rest and relax.
Parklives takes place throughout the summer until late September in 20 city parks, including Wollaton Park, Clifton Playing Fields and Highfields Park.
Dot to Dot Festival
Sunday 24 May
Don't miss the chance to see up and coming new artists at the 10th birthday of Dot to Dot!
Featuring Saint Raymond, Rae Morris, The Wytches, Hudson Taylor and Swim Deep (plus loads more), it's sure to be a great day out.

cycle-city_crop.jpg Cycle City Event: Thursday 21 May
5.30pm - 8pm at NTU Chaucer building
Come along to a FREE event this Thursday to find out more about the ambitions for cycling in Nottingham.
You'll have the chance to see how the Council will be investing the recent £6.1m Growth Fund that we have been awarded directly in to cycle infrastructure over the next two years.

dolly_crop.png Dolly Parton says "Ay up mi duck!!"
In a special video message to Nottingham, Dolly had a go local slang, before urging everyone to help more Nottingham children to benefit from her charity Imagination Library.
The programme gifts Nottingham children aged 0-5 to get a free book a month to help them to start developing their reading skills. You could help, by donating just £2 a month.
