PeverilPeril 3,292
Eric Biddulph known by Nottingham cyclists as 'Duke' had a fascinating book published in 2007. The first chapters cover his early life and recollections about Nottingham in the 40's to 60's. The book 'The First 70 Years' was published a year before he died in Huddersfield in 2008 (a week after we lunched together). Eric worked in various places in Nottingham in accounting and finally at the Midland bank at the top of Peveril St. Eric's dad was a bus driver with NCT 1932 - 1974. Although Eric was brought up in the Berridge Rd area he attended the Claremont School. He went on to become lecturer in business studies and, along with his family, an adventurer in Malawi and other regions of the world. His exploit's are quite extraordinary! Google him up and you must agree with me that he was a true 'son of Nottingham'.
