Back In Time For The Weekend

Recommended Posts

I was a bit disappointed with this last programme. The summing up parts were OK but I got a bit annoyed when they were told to chuck things out. It did reflect our modern throw away society. If items are worn out or broken they have to go and what we no longer need ends up at the charity shop. However we are bombarded with this throw away message, particularly on the programmes about selling your house. When my mum moved house we found a box containing toys I had as a child. I gave them to a play group. The lady at the play group came back to me very nicely saying that they could only use modern toys and she asked if she could sell them to a museum and use the cash to support the play group. I was delighted with this suggestion and this was a great result.
