FLY2 10,109
I've just been tidying some patio pots by clearing out the weeds and topping up with fresh compost. However , I noticed that on the surface of one pot was about 60 clear jelly balls about the size of peas. Are these the eggs of an insect or slugs ? I saw similar things years ago on a lawn somewhere.

Compo 10,328
Slug and snail eggs are very small. Are you perchance describing water retention stuff? did you add water retention particles to the compost or did you buy compost with it already added?
