bamber 128
Just spotted this on Radio Nottingham's website. http://www.bbc.co.uk/nottingham/content/ar...3_feature.shtml
rob237 89
Thanks for that Bamber... Some evocative Nottingham footage....rather amusing staged opening shots at Midland Station! John Neville was a major Shakespearian actor of his day...'the new Olivier' and all that stuff. According to the London based critics his career began in freefall when he chose to come up to the Nottingham backwater. http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache:PY8BB...clnk&cd=1&gl=uk Avid follower of cricketer, as a friend of my team mate he became a regular spectator at our Old Paviors Sunday (his 'day off' from the theatre) matches in the 60's. Pleasant bloke, full of theatrical stories and jokes...serious drinker too! Often wonder what happened to him...must enquire. Cheers Robt P.
