Too much time on my hands, so.......link the DJ's to these tracks, they used them as signature tunes, dont cheat and use a search engine!!!

A: A touch of velvet (a sting of brass)

B: Sign of the swinging cymbal

C: Because theyre young

D:Soul finger

E:The kid

F: Soul serenade

G: Time is tight

H: Pickin the blues

I: The man i love

J: The in crowd

K: Just like that

L: Romeo and juliet

As a clue, these were mainly from pirate, and early (ish) radio 1, when it was a good station!

Just added......which pirate and later radio 1 dj would play "I spy for the fbi" and sing his name over the i spy bit? Clue, his real initials are MP. and these 2 letters can be found in that order in his pseudonym.

Didn't do too well did I ?LOL When I was in the UK last year I heard Simon Bates on the radio still churning out our tune. I remember some very sad ones from years ago,and always seem to remember listening to them in the winter,I wonder why, must have been more atmospheric hey??

Some more answers...

Johnnie Walker used Time is tight on R1 in the 70's

Jimmy Saville used The man i love and The in crowd (2 different shows)

And finally (i think!) Just like that was used by non other than Terry Wogan!
