:D Formed in the mid-sixties by seven young British-based musicians of West Indian descent, Symarip first made their mark as the Bees, supporting Prince Buster on a nationwide tour in 1967. Soon after, the group was signed to President, changed their name to The Pyramids and found UK chart success with 'Train Tour To Rainbow City'. Throughout the remainder of the sixties and early seventies, the septet worked tirelessly, cutting discs under a number of aliases, most notably Seven Letters and Symarip. :D

:o Found this on the web... the band means nothing to me, never heard of them ! :o

For me not a true Trojan Band, not originating from Jamaica. Very good never the less.

My first Trojan Record was by The Pioneers...

Imagine the response I got from the staff at Reddifusion record bar, (downstairs, near the Bell Inn). When I asked for it. They had never heard of it!

This is The Symarip Album I remember most... 9lge.jpg

I nearly became one of Nottinghams first skinheads, backing out at the

barbers at the last minute. Leaving me mate the only one with no hair.

This would have been the Pete the barbers up in St Anns. He only had one hand

and plugged his comb and other attachments into a socket on his arm.

I want all you skinheads to get up on your feet

Put your braces together and your boots on your feet

And give me some of that old moonstomping

Are you ready? Start stomping!

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Talking about skinheads do you remember Big Joe who slapped BIg Howard in Slab Square. Must have said something about Forest.
