firbeck 860
We've all talked about this before, The Black Boy, Drury Hill, etc etc, but it still goes on, they haven't learnt their lesson. Look up this website, it's very expansive but just fiddle around and see whats about, whats been allowed to happen to Hags Farm is unbelievable: http://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/buildingsatrisk.htm From my book by Douglas Whitworth, a couple of examples: Nazareth House, a beautiful Victorian building, bulldozed in 2002, how could they justify that!!!!!! Lenton Methodist church, a rare example of a Victorian prefab church, it may not be pretty, but respected everywhere else but not in Nottingham it seems, all back pocket jobs I reckon. Watch out for those bulldozers outside the Castle Gates, could be a few quid to be earned there in reclaimed stone.
