jackson 301
Cliff Ton - the gatehouse and entrance area - definitely 'the original had more character and atmosphere'.
Compo 10,328
Is there still a cafeteria in the basement of the castle?
poohbear 1,360
Is there still a cafeteria in the basement of the castle? And what an exciting welcoming place for tourists that was in the sixties...it was like a works canteen.
.... 23
Yes there is Compo. Nothing wrong with it the last time I visited. Shop and Eat Cafe at the Castle - with its panoramic views of the city, the Café at the Castle offers the perfect way to relax and revive. Open daily (see opening times above), it serves a wide range of meals, snacks and refreshments. The Café is on the ground floor, with access to the East terrace with amazing views of the city. Compo 10,328
Stu: The 'shop and eat' picture is far from how I remember the castle canteen.
